An all-in-one resident app for Clava, the new home of community living

Overview

Clava saw an opportunity for an all-in-one resident experience app. We worked with Clava to develop the features needed for lifestyle communites to manage their home, book amenities, join clubs, request maintenance and more.

What we did

Insights from real communities helped us shape the product structure and user experience. We developed a visual style and product UI in tandem with an adaptive design system that was applied across multiple community brands and organisations.

A new visual style – Premium, Modern, Welcoming

The new style had to cater to various communities and reflect the positive, active and social lifestyle different communities offer on the platform.

Joining the community

Onboarding was an essential part of the product, not only for security but to introduce users to their new digital resident experience

Booking amenities

One of the key flows was bookings and managing amenities. We created an intuitive experience using a simple layout and curated photo library.

Joining clubs

We designed the Clubs feature with user needs & concerns at the forefront. Social proofing, imagery and a live feed helped legitimise clubs and highlight the community aspect.
A brand new product architecture
and user experience

Working with Lifestyle Directors, we worked to understand residents’ needs, frustrations and key jobs to be done. Personas and user journeys were utilised to inform the team of different user groups and their unique requirements during the design phase.

An adaptive, themed design system allowed the product to align with various community brands
